Help:Wiki Templates

To add an alphabetical index to a page.

• Insert "{{toc}}" where you want the index to be located - usually before the main body of text.
• Use section formatting for each alphabetical character to be included. For example, to create an index, and then include "A" within it, one would type the following text:

To add a list of linked Wiki articles.

• Insert "{{seealso}}" immediately before your list of linked articles - which is usually located after the main body of text.
• Use a bullet point before each article included. For example, to include links to the "STNE-Team" and "STNE-Wiki:Help" pages within the index, one would type the following text:

To add the Wiki-Help Note to a Wiki-Help page.

• Insert "{{Help-note}}" where you want the notice - this is usually at the top of the page.
• Simply type the following text:

To add the Wiki-Help Menu to a Wiki-Help page.

• Insert "{{Wiki-Help Menu}}" where you want the menu - this is usually at the top of the page.
• Simply type the following text:

To add the Link Notice for the political map of the Delta Quadrant.

• Insert "{{DQMapLinkNotice}}" where you want the Link Notice to appear.
• Simply type the following text:

• Insert "{{Menu}}" on the first line of the page.
• Simply type the following text:

• Insert "{{ShipCategoryMenu}}" near the top of the page.

• Insert "{{Deletion request|Applicant name|Reason}}" at the beginning of the page where:
  • "Applicant name" is your own name (for which registered users may substitute "~~~"),
  • "Reason" is the reason the page should be deleted, e.g. "This page is for a non-existent player account".
• Simply type the following text:

{{Deletion request|Applicant name|Reason}}

• Insert "{{Under revision|Editor name}}" at the beginning of the page where "Editor name" identifies the editing user (for which registered users may substitute "~~~" for their own name).
• Simply type the following text:

{{Under revision|Editor name}}

• Insert "{{Quality review|Applicant name|Reason}}" at the beginning of the page where:
  • "Applicant name" is your own name (for which registered users may substitute "~~~"),
  • "Reason" allows for the identification of specific reasons and areas where quality revisions would help, e.g. "The "Help Template" section needs to be rearranged to match present practices".
• Simply type the following text:

• Insert "{{button|Text}}" where it should appear.
• Simply type the following text:

• Insert "{{prettytable}}" immediately after the opening "{| ".
• Simply type the following text:

Note: commentary

• Insert "{{Note|commentary}}" on its own line of the page where it should be inserted, with "commentary" replaced by the actual comment intended for page readers. Its inclusion in tables can disrupt the table's layout since it also uses horizontal lines.
• Simply type the following text:
