Ship Functions

The hangar is a component of a number of ships and stations within STNE which allow smaller ships - primarily fighters - to be stored and transported within a larger ship or station.

The main type of ship to contain a hangar are carrier ships such as the Amaterasu, Aither and Rei´Kon. Hangars are primary used for carrying Fighters and Drones. Most ships take up their slot cost in hangar space, however fighters, which are designed to be carried within hangars, take up less. On a station standard fighters take up 0.25 hangar slots, on a carrier ship they take up just 0.125 hangar slots.

Hangar slots can be increased to a maximum of 150% of their base value using management officer avatars.

While the vast majority of ships can be placed in a hangar provided it has enough hangar space, some such as subspace gates, stations and static defence platforms cannot.
