The Disruptor Gun is the mobile variant of the Disruptor Platform. Like any other platform, you can use it to fortify crucial positions, even in deep space. The disruptor gun has no flight range but can be transported by other ships, either by towing with a tractor beam or carrying in the hangar - however its high flight cost and high required hangar slots make moving a fleet of disruptor guns any more than a short distance logistically challenging. The main advantages of the disruptor gun are its relatively low build cost and excellent modularity - they can be converted quickly and with little to no resources to meet new strategic requirements.

In terms of firepower the disruptor gun can fire 1 disruptor of 20 strength each battle tick for one slot, this is slightly lower than Darinayas and Adrecs and half the firepower per slot of the Disruptor Platform. Given that the disruptor gun lacks the ability to fire torpedoes, is easier to kill than the darinaya - as while it has slightly higher hull strength it has lower armour and no shields, as well as significantly lower evasion, and it lacks the enhanced mobility of the darinaya there are very few scenarios in which it is logical to use a disruptor gun - generally disruptor platforms or darinayas are better alternatives.

The disruptor gun can either be built in an orbital shipyard, then moved to its required location, or be built by a tug in the location it is needed.

Compared to the phaser gun and torpedo gun the disruptor gun actually has significantly higher usage, with 42 existing on the EN1 server as of 28th June 2020 - however compared to over 1500 darinayas in existence and 450 disruptor platforms, this is still a relatively unpopular class of ship.
