Regardless of these weaknesses, the Aither remains a popular choice of capital ship for new colonial governments. In the modern age, it is not uncommon to see fleets of four to eight Aithers alongside NPC-Auction ships and colonist Iowas. Their flight range of 55 allows them to cruise across vast distances and deliver a killer blow with a swarm of fighters.
