Wreck Extraction refers to a capability of specially equipped ships (such as the Repair Ship and the Atria) to both extract goods from wrecks and debris fields.

Extraction mainly recovers Duranium from debris fields however small quantities of other goods used in the construction of the ship can also be recovered.

There are four standard ships (buildable and credit) equipped with Wreck Extractors. These are the Tug, the Repair Ship, the Atria and the Ortygia. However there are also a number of items which add extraction capability to ships, these are commonly installed in large ships to make use of the high reactors these ships have.

To extract goods from a debris field or wreck a Tractor Beam must be applied to the target. A button will then appear in the ship's menu which allows goods to be extracted.
