Batra L

The Batra L is the little-brother of the Batra K heavy cruiser. This light cruiser sports a single phaser to the power of ten and a single disruptor to the power of twenty, providing a balance between the Kazon class light corvette and the Darinaya class light frigate, however the downside of having weapons of both classes is that hull, armour and shields are all lighter than a Darinaya, and lacks the armour of a Kazon. The ship has found a role with many younger players who have not developed a substantial military or are learning the basics of the battle system, or in some cases, have been conned into buying the ship. In relation to the Kazon and Darinaya, the Batra L features reasonably large cargo hold allowing it to be applied as a light raider.

Like many Talaxian ships, including its older brother, the Batra L can only be acquired either through the Talaxian Ship Auctions by bidding in dilithium crystals or from a locked container dropped from destroyed Vidiian warships. It should be noted that per slot, the Batra L is better than the Batra K, having the same flight range, more hull - the Batra K only has 75% of the hull of two Ls - and shields, although less armour.
