Live text messaging

HTML Chat provides real-time text messaging between STNE players. This feature can be used either publicly or privately.

Multiple chat channels

Each game server has its own primary channel where its online players can share public comments with one another. Players can also communicate with each other directly through additional channels - either one-to-one or in small groups.

HTML Chat should only be used for private conversations when in query mode. Group channels can also be created (see HTML Chat/Commands).

Interface

The HTML Chat interface is displayed below the STNE game interface by default, and shows active discussions in the server's primary channel until another channel is selected. The chat interface can also be displayed in a separate window, or not at all. These settings can be changed on the Preferences screen.

Rules and Guidelines

Players do not typically roleplay while in HTML Chat. Otherwise, the basic STNE rules of interaction apply to all chat messages. Special Chat Moderation Rules apply as well. The Ingame Chat Moderator Team is responsible for monitoring public channels, fielding complaints, and enforcing player compliance with these standards.
