Class G or Desert Planets are best suited for solar power for obvious reasons, both in orbit and in desert sections (see properties). Although not the best location for Nitrium mining, but there are only 2 planet classes that you can mine Nitrium on.

Desert or Class G Planets are one of the most sought-after planet types because you can produce massive energy very cheaply using Solar Satellites and Solar Arrays on them. This makes them ideal for energy-intensive uses, such as Antimatter production or Isolinear Chip production using Jupiter stations.  However, they can also produce nitrium (although less efficiently than Lavas).

Planet class overview

Desert or Class G Planets are one of the most sought-after planet types because you can produce massive energy very cheaply using Solar Satellites and Solar Arrays on them. This makes them ideal for energy-intensive uses, such as Antimatter production or Isolinear Chip production using Jupiter stations. However, they can also produce nitrium (although less efficiently than Lavas).
