Small Asteroid Fields are one of three types of asteroid field that can be colonized. They are ideally suited to Dilithium production, and can produce 6 Dilithium per tick self-sufficiently.
Energy on small asteroids is produced easily and cheaply by Radiation collectors on the Crater tiles. With terraforming, the maximum number of craters on a small asteroid is 6.
