Javascripts Reimplemented and New Admin

  • Thanks to our new Admin & Developer "Jack", disabling of ships should now function properly.
  • Javascript-Tooltips has been completely reimplemented. The old component "overlib" has served us well for many years.
  • Javascript-Dialog-Component is now based on jQuery.
  • Javascript-Framework "Prototype" has been replaced by jQuery. Currently, only chat uses “Prototype”, which over the next few days, will also be replaced by jQuery.
  • A new option has been added under “Preferences” <-> "Advanced Settings" <-> "Debug-Mode", where you can turn on debug-mode. Debug-Mode may change from time to time, depending on which bugs are currently being worked on and is not intended for regular players.
  • Currently, the result of Debug-Mode, is Javascript files in uncompressed form will send to the browser, for better bug finding.
  • Of course, the new implementation has been tested with various Browsers. Unfortunately, however, conflicts may occur with some browsers. In this case please write a ticket, and we will follow up. Please provide the browser version and as much detail as possible about the problem.
  • Support for Internet Explorer 6 (released in 2001!) has been officially discontinued. This does not mean that STNE will not work with Explorer 6, however, any reported problems may not be worked on. Currently, less than 0,5 % of the STNE players use Internet Explorer 6.

We cordially welcome and introduce you to our new programmer, "Jack Blake”, or “Jack” (ID: DE3-405 & Admin-ID's). STNE now has 3 programmers actively working on STNE, 8 Admins and many Supporters. Together, we try to improve STNE and provide maximum support.
