Diplomacy Overview

A peace treaty contains a Non-Agression Pact and effects that the involved settlers or alliances have the relationship "friends": they can not attack each other: their ships and colonies set on alert condition red act as if they would have been set on alert condition yellow; so they just behave defensively. Beaming does cause automatic defense.

Important: NAPs are the only treaties that can be kept secret: they will not be shown in "Relationships" or in "Treaties".

Information: A peace treaty is required for both Trade Agreements and Military Alliances.
