If you colonize a Standard, Moderate or Water planet, you will need to build a Base Camp. This building can be built on Grassland, provided that the necessary resources are available on your Colonisation ship. The Base Camp of your colony has basic technical and civilian facilities such as Living Space for five residents, low energy production, but also a transporter room to beam and a little storage space, which is protected in part by Beam Protection.

The Base Camp, however, produces no food, which will need to be supplied by other buildings, such as a Farm or a Hydroponic Dome.

The Base Camp can be expanded to Colony Headquarters. It is important to note that building features like Beaming and Energy Transfer are disabled for the duration of the upgrade.

Attention: Base Camp and Colony Headquarters can only be built on a Standard, Moderate or Water planet.
