Stellar Cartography is a feature which allows settlers to view the entire game map. You can take a closer look without having to use a ship to fly there and look at what you want. Stellar Cartography also allows you to view large areas of the game map all at once, which is otherwise not possible. Also, Stellar Cartography has more functions beyond just looking at the game map. You can plan routes from one location to the other (Feature-Pack required), locate your nearest Federation SUP base/Ferengi ship, find dangers on the way to the next Deuterium Cloud and Manage Coordinates. The game would be much more complex and almost unplayable without Stellar Cartography. This feature can be found in the database, or at a ships Helm Control.

Features of Stellar Cartography

• Coordinate Management
  Stellar Cartography allows users to record coordinates in lists, these lists can be shared with other players. Coordinate Management can be found in the bar at the top of stellar cartography.
• Route Planner (Feature Pack Users Only)
  Route Planner allows users to plan routes between locations which are then marked in the stellar cartography static map, and your ships LRS. This feature is only available for players with feature pack.
• Ship Activty Map
  By going to the stellar cartography main page and clicking on Ship Activity users can see a complete map of the galaxy with recent movements displayed on it. This map is updated daily at 04:00 server time.
• Ship Density Map
  By going to the stellar cartography main page and clicking on Ship Density users can see a complete map of the galaxy showing areas with large numbers of ships. This map is updated daily at 04:00 server time.
• Oldest Colonists Map
  By going to the stellar cartography main page and clicking on Oldest Colonists users can see a complete map of the galaxy showing areas in which colonies belonging to the oldest colonists are located. This map is updated daily at 04:00 server time.
