Exploration Ships |

Scout or Reconnaissance ships are designed for locating new colonies or gathering intelligence on enemy installations. These ships normally have a large flight range allowing them to move fast enough to avoid enemy ships but if caught in a firefight most scout ships only have limited defences and would not be able to hold up to anything more than an ore collector or transport ship.
