Thakendar Province
- Thakendar Province is an interstellar union of colonies which makes up part of The Roman Empire. The province currently consists of seven colonies spread out across a 250 sector radius.
The Province is based on the principles of liberty and equality. The people of Thakendar Province are peaceful, trying to solve any problems with diplomatic means only resorting to violence when absolutely necessary. Thakendar Province thrives on trade and commerce. Culture, science, the arts and music are the cornerstones of Thakendar’s Society. Our scientists have played a major part The The Roman Empire's effort to find a lasting cure for the Vidiian phage.
The province is currently lead by Jacus Septimus Felix Honoratus Citizen of Rome who works closely with The Roman Empire as an ambassador between the Province and the Empire.
Divisions
- The Province is currently split into ten divisions each managing different sections of what we do. Although the division heads have control over their own division full control is still under the authority of Jacus Septimus Felix Honoratus. The Divisions are:
Commercium Divisio: The Commercium Divisio is the division of the Province related to trade. The Commercium Divisio have a mission to trade in materials with other settlers for mutual benefit and - with the assistance of the Diplomaticas Divisio - set up trade agreements with other settlers to improve trading relations for the future.
Industria Divisio: The Industria Divisio is the division of the Province responsible for producing new ships and materials. The majority of our planets as well as our deuterium and iridium fleets are part of the Industria Divisio making it the largest centuria in the Province
Exploratio Divisio: The Exploratio Divisio is the division of the cohort devoted to exploring the galaxy, seeking out new civilisations and boldly going where no one has gone before. So far the Exploratio Divisio missions have located over 400 new civilisations and in total have explored over 8000 sectors of space.
Diplomaticas Divisio: Diplomaticas Divisio is the section of the cohort in control of relations with other settlers. It is the mission of the Diplomaticas Divisio to form treaties with trusted colonists and try to solve issues without the need for violence and the unnecessary loss of life.
Onerariis Divisio: The Onerariis Divisio is the division of the Province related to transport and storage. This Divisio includes all of our transport ships and is reponsible for moving goods between colonies. The Onerariis Divisio was also reponsible for setting up the subspace gate network - Portunes - to link the Province with other settlers allowing for greater trading ability
Militaria Divisio: The Militaria Divisio is the division of the Province related to defense. Although we are peaceful people there is the need to be able to defend ourselves when attacked. The Militaria Divisio is reponsible for this. If the auxilium divisio decides it is needed the Militaria Divisio can also help defend other settlers against hostile threats. The divisio will only assist in this circumstance if it is an unprovoked attack.
Auxillium Divisio: The Auxillium divisio is the division of the province dedicated to providing support to other colonists. The divisio will provide resources if possible and in some rare situations we may be willing to supply military aid to other colonists. The division also runs the anti-piracy association (APA) which aims to reduce piracy throughout the galaxy.
Arbitros Divisio: This divisio is reponsible for negotiating disputes between other colonists. If you require assistance in negotiations with other colonists the Divisio is here to assist you. Arbitration is a free service all colonists involved must agree that the decision made is final before arbitration can begin.
Expansio divisio: The expansio divisio is reponsible for the expansion of the province. This includes colonising new planets and building stations or gates in new areas of space. The divisio along with the diplomaticas divisio is reponsible for negotiating for rights to build stations or gates in claimed space.
Speculator divisio: The Speculator divisio is responsible for monitoring space near to the colonies of thakendar province. It is also their job to gather intelligence during times of war.
People of Significance
- Jacus Septimus Felix Honoratus (Jacksfh): The Leader of the Province. Jacus now works as an ambassador between Thakendar Province and The Roman Empire
