Planet class overview |
Class M or Standard Planet is the first planet a player starts with. They are well suited for Plasteel production though are moderately useful for other resources with the exception of Nitrium and Sorium.
The Standard Planet also has several unique properties. For instance only in orbit of a Standard Planet may players construct a Phaser Cannon.
Unfortuanatly, the Standard Planet has problems producing energy, the only sources of energy that can be generated efficiently are the Solar Array, the Solar Satellite, the Flow Turbine and a single Warp Core that can be powered by a Particle Accelerator and the one constructable Dilithium Mine.
A Poloron Power Plant can be built here, but it does cause significant damage to the Standard Planet's attractiveness and Reputation generating capabilities.
