The Overdrive is a Ship Function which enables ships to travel to up to 300% of their standard flight range. This causes flight cost to increase exponentially for the time overdrive is active and also means that the ship takes multiple ticks to restore standard flight range without overdrive.

Use of Overdrive

To use overdrive, firstly you need to have researched Subspace Overdrive. Once this research is completed ships, you should be able to activate overdrive. To do this go to the ship, and scroll down to just below where warp core is displayed. Here there should be an option to active overdrive, Quite simply all you need to do is click it, and overdrive should be active.
