General

The Ferengi provide a commodity exchange in the game. The exchange allows you to view and accept trade offers and place new offers on the market. All trade on the Ferengi Trade Exchange (FTE) is done with goods from your Ferengi Account.

Goods can be deposited to any Ferengi Trader and will then appear in the central account ready to trade. The trade exchange can be found under Communications --> Ferengi Trade Exchange

Deposit Goods

To trade via the Trade Exchange goods must be in your Ferengi Account. To deposit goods into your account fly to your closest Ferengi Trader and beam the goods to it. Normally Ferengi traders are located at Federation SUPs, however if you are unable to find one a full list of location is available under Communications --> Ferengi Trade Exchange --> Locations of the Ferengi.

A deposit tax is charged when adding goods to your account, this is normally 10%.

Create or accept an Offer

After the goods have been deposited into your account you can then trade with them. Scroll down the offers available on the trade exchange and if there is an offer you wish to accept click . If the offer allows partial purchases you will need to input the quantity you wish to buy, click Get Offers to see how much this costs, and then click Accept.

If there is no trade you wish to accept currently on the exchange you can create a new offer with the goods you have deposited into your account. To do this click on Create offer, here you can input what goods you are offering and what you want to receive for them. Trades which offer or demand Credits have an additional tax charged. If someone accepts your offer this will appear in your logbook and the goods will be paid into your account.

Cancel Offer

If you wish to cancel an offer you have created you can click , this will delete the offer and return the goods to your account.

Remove goods from your Ferengi Account

To remove goods from your account go to your nearest ferengi trader and beam the goods out. If you have an offer active and wish to remove those goods the offer will need to be canceled first. It is generally a good idea to ensure you do not have large quantities of goods stored in your Ferengi Account as a daily storage tax is charged at 13:00 Server Time each day. Up to 100 (200 with feature pack) of each good can be stored in the ferengi account without daily tax.
