Planet class overview

Desert or Class G Planets are one of the most sought-after planet types because you can produce massive energy very cheaply using Solar Satellites and Solar Arrays on them. This makes them ideal for energy-intensive uses, such as Antimatter production or Isolinear Chip production using Jupiter stations. However, they can also produce nitrium (although less efficiently than Lavas).

Most deserts produce 10-12 Isolinear Chips or 22 Antimatter.

Because of the availability of power from Solar Arrays, you should never use fusion reactors on a desert. In other words, do not do this: VigerFail.jpg
