Craters can be created by terraforming Rock. There can be 6 Craters on Small Asteroids, with 3 naturally occurring, 8 on Large Asteroids (naturally 4), and 10 on Rock Planets (naturally 8). Each Crater takes 10 Photon Torpedoes and 1 tick to Terraform, and requires Global Blasting Research.
