If the colony is attacked each Torpedo Battery shoots back to the attacking ship, even if torpedoes are available on the colony. The energy for the shooting is first taken out of their own fusion chamber, then from the EPS of the colony.
Torpedo platforms do not have torpedo heating.
The deuterium in the fusion chamber of the Torpedo Battery is used only for the use of the platforms in the defense case. The stored deuterium is not used in the event of an energy shortage in the colony.
