For from the beginning - when man's struggle was with nature, not knowing where he might sleep, how he would eat, or whether he would survive to see the light of dawn - Kane came to us in those dark days and led us into the light of awareness and progress and by harnessing the knowledge contained within an ancient alien database known as the "Tacitus", He now leads us across the vastness of the galaxy. He has given the Brotherhood its mandate: One Vision - One Purpose - Peace Through Power!
A founding member of the Allied Alliances, the Brotherhood of NoD is a religious order tasked with using its superior military and economic might to bring the Light of Kane to every corner of creation. Those who submit to His wisdom and benevolence are rewarded with glory and enlightenment: those who do not are branded as heretics and are graciously sent into the afterlife, heralded by fire and nuclear fallout.
Those who are forced to submit are bound by an ironclad oath -
"I swear this Sacred Oath that to the Leader of the Brotherhood of NoD, Kane, Supreme Conquerer of the Free World, I shall render unconditional obedience and that as a conquered species I shall at all times be prepared to give my life for this oath."
