This system of planet classification assigns each planet according to its characteristics such as atmosphere and its environmental conditions. Each of the planets and asteroids listed below has its own special characteristics, advantages and disadvantages that can be looked up here. This is the classification system of the Federation. Other species, like the Klingons have other classifications.
