Revision as of 20:53, 30 December 2010

Greetings Players!

We're proud to announce that both the ROMULANS and the RHULANER application process

WILL OPEN ON JANUARY 5th, 2011.

As part of the application process you MUST follow the instructions for the applications or your application could be automatically rejected.

The Application Process will OPEN January 5th, 2011
The Application Process will CLOSE on January 20th, 2011 for these positions.

You can submit an application for EITHER the Romulans NPC or the Rhulaner NPC position, not both.

Your Application MUST be submitted between the OPEN and CLOSE Dates.

Applications submitted early or late will be automatically rejected.

Here are the updated requirements to apply for NPC:

1. General information:

You'll see every NPC position which is open for applications in this thread.
- You will need to send your application to all NPC on EN-1, not the game masters or support team.
- The NPC team IGM numbers are 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11

2. Information regarding NPC positions

As NPC your task will be: - To complete active RP with the settlers, this includes SCN's, SSCN, Chat and various Channels in SCN and of course conduct in game action.
- Be a contact for the settlers for in game information on how to play or perform certain functions.
- Maintain your account including logs and IGM.

How you play your account is up to you. Of course there are some guidelines for the NPC accounts, because we want to stay within the Star Trek framework. The rules you will need to follow are the STNE general game Rules and of course the NPC-codex which you will learn if you are accepted into the position.

3. Your profile:

We want someone: - 18 years of age (exceptions are possible)
- Experienced in Space Trek: The New Empire.
- Has regular activity of RP in STNE (SCN and/or SSCN or own channels)
- With a proper character and the ability to be an active member of a large team.
- With a good reputation (this includes your conduct in Game CHAT).
- With good English skills in written word.
- With a good understanding of Star Trek canon and how it can be applied or expanded within each NPC alliance.
- Who can be a long term NPC, so ONLY apply if you have enough time to do the work.
- With excellent communications skills on the Forums, Team Speak, IRC and/or ICQ
- With a well written, expressive, application.

NOTE: You can only apply for ONE NPC Position at a time and the use of Team Speak for NPC meetings and RP discussions will be a requirement.

4. The Formal Application

The applications needs to be written and without any RP in the main body of the application. You can include as a secondary attachment 3 to 5 short examples of the first few RPs you would start. Contents of an application:
1. - Name: (Real name)
2. - Age: (Real age some exceptions may be made for excellent players under 18 -)
3. - General Location: (for Game Time and NPC meeting/interview schedules)
4. - Current Occupation: (Generally, are you a Student, Engineer, Police Officer? etc - not your Employer)
5. - Number of hours per day you can dedicate to the NPC account:
6. - Why do you want to become an NPC?
7. - What do you think the role of the NPC is in regards to the interactions with the Players?
8. - How would you encapsulate the spirit of the race you are applying for? (i.e. What are the Romulans really like, and who are the Rhulaner?)
9. - So how would you play your Alliance? (It is acceptable to list your major characters, who and what they will do).
10. - Think about and describe to us some role play ideas you want to start with players and how you would start them.

Note: - Don't write something like "I want to be NPC to fly with the big ships and shoot stuff.

5. Hints

- What we seek are people with creative ability, fresh ideas and nice RP's.
- You don't need to write a book about your RP proposals but a short list of your ideas and a few examples are acceptable.
- You might wish to describe how you would build on the current work (if any) of the previous NPC holder.
- Most important is who you are, how do you want to play your NPC and how you plan to interact with the Players and other NPCs.
- Good English skills, preferably native English is very important.
- We need to feel that you are the right person for this job and will work with our team.

6. What do you get?

Teamwork is paramount to the success of the NPCs. We can offer an excellent team of people to work with, who will support you and help you develop your ideas. You will learn the finer points of the game mechanics. You will improve your writing skills and use of HTML graphics in game. Of course you will get the chance to fly hundreds of big ships and to be part of the history of Space Trek: The New Empire and the galaxy. Unfortunately, you will not get any payment for all the hours and work you put into this. You will get a lot of complaints, hate mail, threats against you to have you removed from the position, and general foul-mouth swearing at you for anything you attempt to do. If you find that fun and enjoyable or at least something you can deal with on a daily bases and not loose your objectivity, then you might be the right one for the job.

We're look forward to receiving your applications.

Kind regards,
The EN-1 NPC Team
