Preface
This is the first chapter of an RPG Story I am doing Based on STNE. I have based it on the events of STNE and Star Trek although some sections may not have actually taken place within the Game itself.
New Beginnings
Arrival on Vesta
It was near sunset on the planet Vesta - as it had recently been named - and crowds of people were helping to set up buildings in a quiet valley on the eastern hemisphere of the planet. First of all the houses were being built, they were the most important, the ship was too damaged to accommodate so many people but they still had large food stocks in the cargo hold to help them survive until they could set up farms. The people looked weary and upset, many of them had lost loved ones when they had been sucked into the cross dimensional subspace tear which caused them to crash in the beta quadrant. Some of the injured were in a temporary medical tent being treated by an Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH) after the entire medical crew had been killed by a plasma coolant leak. One young man, who looked about 15 years old, was sitting next to an older man who appeared to be his father.
The old man had a huge cut across his face as well as bruising all over his body. Anyone looking at the state of him would probably assume he was already dead, but the boy new better he was leaning up close to his father listening to his last words 'help... them.. survive...'
