Atmospheric density

This figure refers to how thick the atmosphere is. This is important in planetary defense as the thicker the atmosphere, the less damage phaser weapons do when fired at a planet. For example, a phaser 9 being fired at a level 8 density world, will have its damaged reduced by 8. meaning only 1 damage will strike the buildings.
