Craters can be created by terraforming Rock. There can be 6 Craters on Small Asteroids (initially 3), 8 on Large Asteroids (initially 4), and 10 on Rock Planets (initially 8). Each Crater takes 10 Photon Torpedoes and 1 tick to Terraform, and requires Global Blasting Research.
