General Information

"Wealth for everyone", these words marked the beginning of the Tanaris Trading Syndicate. Free merchants, different in race and origin but not in ambition, allied to maximise their power, influence and profits. Therefore they formed a consortium to join their forces in the contested area of interstellar trade.

History

Tanaris III, a small planet inhabited by a race of humanoids which call themselves Furakh, was long known as a local trading point. Merchants from all over the galaxy came together to conduct business. Among them where four extraordinary ambitious ones. In well informed circles DaiMon Lak was once known as a contemplable candidate for the Board of Liquidators. A network of intrigues, spun by his arch-enemy Krem, made a further employment inside the Ferengi Commerce Authority unimpossible. The young romulan lady named Ustlha T’ekara i-Liorae tr’Vuifri had been in charge of the logistics during Tal-Shiar operations. After one mission resulted in a disatrous failure she was the weakest link in the chain and was made responsible. To avoid imprisonment she fled from the Empire. Tradesman Samuel Alvarez came to considerable wealth by marriage. But after squandering half his money and spending more than the other half for women, gambling and booze he had to flee Earth in order to avoid painful discussions with his creditors. The Karemma merchant Lathanar was on his way to conduct business in the Alpha Quadrant, when the Dominio War broke out. Seperated from the almighty Dominion and left alone, he desided to sell his cargo and since then to eke out a living as free merchant.

If you believe in destiny or not, these four people met more or less accidentally on Tanaris III and henceforth should play a crucial role in the history of this little planet.
