- | Helion are a tall, telepathic, shape shifting life form that live on a rouge M class planet. Allthough lacking records of their history, one thing is known... that the form they naturally take is a testamony to a less developed species on their shared planet that was killed during an attempt to increace plant growth using a chemical virus.
- | The Helion tend too be a rather shy race, only a few mingling with the rest of the galaxy. Origanating from the gamma quadrant's section of the galaxtic core, the Helion have battled with the Borg and Dominion alike, allthough the relations with both have calmed down ever since Quantum Warp and Tri-polar beams were discovered. Borg Designation for Helion is Species 78, one of the first Species Discovered By the Borg, or rather the other way around, a Helion Early Scout ship stumbled upon what seemed to be a pile of duranium with engines. But the small, Primitive scout class was quickly over-run by nanides. fortuneatly, none of the Helion was successfully assimilated... none have been to this day.
- | The Helion's can mate at any time of their lives, allthough it is most common to mate, and have children past the age of 100. The mating process is simple, the two Helion "connect" and constantly shift (change form) to instantly give birth to a baby Helion.

- | There are 2 'breeeds' of Helion, there are the "normal" or political side and the "enhansed" or Engineers side, the normal can do all the things listed above, shape shifting and telepathy, but the Engineers can also create and manipulate atoms around them, not only control themselves. Engineers are rather rare, only 1 in 50 Helion are born Engineers and usually take positions on ships as repair and maintanance crew, or as ship builders in the massive shipyard of Helia. Like the Normal Helion, modern science, of any race, has been unable to explain how Helion can loose and gain their atoms.

- | Helion are unable, Engineers or not, to control the atoms of another Helion without their permission. It is, amazingly, quite common for a Helion to be apprehended and "stored" inside another Helion if they have done a crime or otherwise.A most common trick among the Pirates.
