'''Choam''' is the oldest alliance on the [[EN1]] server, founded in the interest of trade between alien races to achieve benefits for the involved sides. The concept got popular across other worlds, so more and more species joined '''Choam''' to organise their trade and represent themselves as part of a respectable community of interest.


As '''Choam''' intends to take the needs of all members into account on a base of equal rights, the hierarchy is rather flat. It merely exists to create a better internal and external organisation. 


The alliance is made up mostly of older players, many of whom come from significant positions in other alliances throughout [[STNE]] causing some to jokingly refer to '''Choam''' as 'the retirement home of STNE'.


The alliance holds significant strength, both militarily and economically and are strong allies with Outcast, after merging with them for a brief time. Their own strength combined with that of Outcast ensures they very rarely come under attack. They do not generally get involved in wars and could easily be classed as one of the most peaceful alliances on the [[EN1]] server.
