[[Wreck Extraction]] refers to a capability of specially equipped ships (such as the [[Repair Ship]] and the [[Atria]]) to both extract goods from [[Wreck|wrecks]] and [[Debris Field|debris fields]].

Extraction mainly recovers [[Duranium]] from debris fields however small quantities of other goods used in the construction of the ship can also be recovered.

There are four standard ships (buildable and credit) equipped with Wreck Extractors. These are the [[Tug]], the [[Repair Ship]], the [[Atria]] and the [[Ortygia]]. However there are also a number of items which add extraction capability to ships, these are commonly installed in large ships to make use of the high reactors these ships have.

To extract goods from a debris field or wreck a [[Tractor Beam]] must be applied to the target. A button will then appear in the ship's menu which allows goods to be extracted.

Ships with wreck extraction capability are also able to attempt repairs on [[Wreck|wrecks]]. For more information on this see [[Wreck Repair]].
