Introduced in 2015, the '''Gate Trade Network''' (sometimes referred to as the GTN, Gate Trade Exchange or GTE) is an alternative option to the [[Ferengi Trade Exchange]]. It allows trading directly between settlers through the use of subspace gates. The GTN has a number of advantages over the [[Ferengi Trade Exchange]]:

*No taxes to deposit goods before trading
*[[Torpedoes]] can be traded
*[[Items]] can be traded
