While most NPC transports have sufficient torpedo capacity to not need a dedicated transporter, settler transports such as the [[Whorfin]] and [[AntaresB]] can only transport 10 or 20 torpedoes - this makes transporting large amounts of torpedoes expensive (in fuel costs) and time consuming. Therefore a torpedo transport such as the [[Denison]], [[Chordat]] or [[Boreas]] is required (or a military ship with high torpedo capacity such as the [[Rei´Kon]]).
